Independent publication

About this publication

Learn how Companion Curator researches AI companion products, separates documented facts from testing, and keeps commissions out of editorial decisions.

What Companion Curator does

Companion Curator is an independent buyer’s guide for adults choosing AI companions for friendship, romance, roleplay, creative interaction, or adult-capable experiences. It brings product claims, current prices, free-access terms, device paths, account controls, and carefully limited public reports into one place so a reader can compare the decision before signing up or paying.

Why this publication exists

AI companion search results are crowded with merchants, community posts, lightly tested roundups, and pages whose commercial incentives are difficult to inspect. Product language is inconsistent too: a “free” entry point can differ from an ongoing free tier, a store listing does not prove native implementation, and a documented feature does not establish its quality.

How the evidence works

Every factual field must have an eligible source and verification date or remain visibly unknown. Publisher documentation, community reports, editorial observations, and structured tests are separate evidence classes. A documented capability is not presented as first-hand testing, and a small set of public reports is not presented as user consensus.

Source dates and limitations stay close to the decision they support. Material conflicts remain visible instead of being averaged into a score. Read the research methodology for the evidence hierarchy and the editorial standards for the publication rules.

How commercial relationships work

Companion Curator may eventually earn a commission from an approved outbound link. Compensation cannot buy a ranking, recommendation, category win, or omission of a material caveat. Products without affiliate programs can still appear when they are relevant to the buyer’s decision. Current commercial relationships and links are disclosed separately from editorial evidence.

One catalog, clear boundaries

The publication covers clean-use companions, friendship, romance, roleplay, LGBTQ+-inclusive options, and lawful adult-capable services in one mature but non-graphic resource. Identity, desired companion representation, relationship mode, and explicitness remain separate choices. Companion Curator does not host explicit imagery or promote age-ambiguous, nonconsensual, deepfake, or real-person nudification products.

What the publication cannot promise

A source-checked page cannot guarantee product quality, safety, privacy, memory, emotional fit, successful cancellation, complete deletion, or a future merchant policy. Expensive longitudinal testing can add useful evidence later, but it is not invented or used as a gate to publishing practical source-backed help now. Start with the private Companion Finder, browse the companion guides, or inspect a product’s source-linked profile.
